Privacy Policy

PitchStation ("we", "us") provides document sharing, tracking, generation, and AI question-answering services at pitchstation.ai. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it — for both account holders (people who create and share documents) and viewers (people who open shared links).

What we collect from account holders

• Account information — your email address and display name, provided directly or via Google sign-in. We never see your Google password.
• Your content — documents you upload or generate, and the settings you attach to shared links (passwords, expiry, view limits).
• Usage records — sign-in events and security logs (time, IP address) used to protect your account.

What we collect from viewers of shared links

PitchStation's core feature is telling senders what happened to their documents. When you open a shared link, we record for the sender:

• Open time, approximate location (from IP), device/browser type, and reading progress (e.g., which pages were viewed and for how long).
• Your name or email — only when the sender used a named-viewer gate or a personal recipient link, in which case the page tells you before you proceed.
• Questions you type into the "Ask this document" panel, which are shown to the document's sender and answered by an AI model using the document's content.

AI processing

Summaries, translations, and document Q&A are produced by third-party AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google). Document text needed for those features is sent to the selected provider to generate the response. When you use AI itemization on an expense pack, the receipt images you upload are sent to the AI provider to extract the line items. We do not use your documents or receipts to train models.

What we don't do

• We don't sell personal data.
• We don't show ads or share data with ad networks.
• We don't read your documents except as needed to operate the service (rendering, translation, AI features you or the sender enabled) or as required by law.

Retention & deletion

Documents and analytics are kept while the owning account is active or until the owner deletes them. Revoking a share stops all further access. To delete your account and its data, contact us at the address below.

Cookies

We use strictly functional cookies: session sign-in, share-unlock state (so you don't retype a password on every page), and view de-duplication. No cross-site tracking cookies.
